Trina Set To Adopt A Child From Haiti

Trina’s publicist sent TheYBF.com the rap diva’s exclusive statement on this matter:

“With the current state that Haiti is in right now, I personally feel like donating monetary and physical possessions is an enormous and vast donation; however, I would like to contribute on a higher level for more personal reasons like being ready to raise/nurture a child and by being involved on a day to day basis,” Trina states.

“The tragic and untimely list of events that have happened in Haiti–even before the recent “Earthquake”–have made me realize how blessed I am as an individual. I want to share that with a child who is a victim in this disturbing time, in addition to adding on to my immediate family circle.”

“I am in the financial position to adopt, therefore, I am taking it into deep consideration at this time. I have always admired other individuals for adopting children not so much for their celebrity status, but more so because of the nurturing and invaluable change and joy it will bring to a child’s life.”

“Lastly, the fact that I am considering adopting a child from Haiti is even more significant to me because a great deal of adopted children come into the United States from larger countries–like China, Russia and African countries. I also have family members that are of Haitian descent.”

Eve and Her Man?

So this is like the tenth white man Eve has been dating and I ain't mad at her. If brothas can do it why can't we?

She was spotted outside a party at Church boutique the other night being escorted by some nice young gentlemen. I’m not sure if that’s her man but she’s addressed whether she has a preference in past interviews:

I’ve had black men say to me, ‘Oh, I heard you were dating a white man.’ It’s like, ‘Have I gone out with (a white man)? Yes. Am I dating someone white? No, but if I was, it would be my choice, so stay out of my business. -Giant Magazine’”

Also, Eve has left Interscope records and plans to release a new album titled “Lip Lock” later this year.

Matt Kemp and the Abusive Past

I know I am a little late but there has been drama with Matt and his former girlfriend. According to her he was abusive and threatening.

David D. Diamond, Felisha Terrell's attorney, tells TMZ he's pissed off that Kemp's agent is now saying Terrell lied in her 2008 restraining order application against Kemp. Terrell claimed Kemp was verbally abusive and threatening, but both sides ultimately agreed to drop the matter. When news of the restraining surfaced earlier this week, Kemp's agent told one outlet, "She chose to file a complaint and shortly thereafter, on her own accord, decided to drop it based on the fact that the statements made within were false."

Diamond says his client never lied: "The temporary restraining order was granted because of an actual and real threat. The matter was quietly resolved until Mr. Kemp's agent began making false public statements."Diamond adds, "...my hope is that Ms. Terrell tells her story, because it is a compelling tale of betrayal, abuse and survival."

Wacka Flocka Shot

Word is breaking that Wacka Flocka Flame, the rising rapper in Gucci Mane’s crew, was shot at an Atlanta gas station/car wash earlier today. Flocka was the reportedly the victim of an attempted robbery that transpired before the shooting. Sources say Wacka was not shot in the chest as rumored. He was, though, shot in the arm/shoulder.

The “O, Let’s Do It” rapper also is not in critical condition–supposedly–and is expected to make a full recovery.

Tiger Woods Is In Sex Rehab

US Weekly--A writer published in the New York Times Magazine reveals that Tiger Woods is currently a patient at Gentle Path -- a sex addiction program at Pine Grove, a treatment center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Benoit Denizet-Lewis, who has written extensively about his own sex addiction, wrote on his personal blog Monday that a source confirmed Woods' stay at the clinic. Denizet-Lewis, who interviewed staff and patients at the center for his book America Anonymous: Eight Addicts in Search of a Life, notes that Gentle Path's program "is directed by Patrick Carnes, one of the world's leading experts on sex addiction." The treatment center would not confirm the identity of any of its patients.
